It was great to get out shooting with this guy
(aka: Richie's man crush)
a couple of weeks ago in Waikiki.
Mike, Mike, Joanna. . .
I heart each of you to the moon and back.
It did my soul good to be with such quality friends.

Totally shot through a trolley as it sped by.
All hail AI Servo!
absolutely my fave of the day.

NOTE FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS:
Whenever I shoot with Mike Colón, I shoot Jpeg. . . because he's the boss of me?? I have to tell you, I cannot duplicate the color quality of a well shot jpeg image (exposed properly with manual white balance) in post processing software. The above images have MINIMAL corrections in post (basically some very slight dodging and burning in a few shots, and all have been sharpened for web).
If you really want to get a handle on your business, literally from artistic vision, to business approach, to technical solidity, Mike Colón's workshop is a MUST. You'll absolutely thank me later.

Wow! I wish I could shoot like you. I can't believe that there was no post-processing (or only limited) involved. Those are amazing shots. What lens did you use? Camera?
Amazing work. Do you shoot Canon or Nikon, and what lens/es did you use for this shoot? Its good to see you shooting again. God Bless.
Beautiful collection Natalie! You really captured their joy, and man! What a good looking couple!
Great job!
Are they for real or they are just models?
Wow Nat! These are BEAUTIFUL! I think they're my favorites you've ever done! I love the minimal post-processing! So clean and pretty! Good job!

Oh NATALIE! These are absolutely gorgeous! I'm LOVING the color and quality of these...incredible. They're so WARM and beautiful. So many photos these days seem like a fad -- the way they're processed, etc. These are truly timeless -- a joy to take in. Awesome work!
These pictures are awesome. I have been totally addicted to reading your blog over the past couple of weeks. Thank you for sharing so much. You are an amazing person and photographer!

I am so sorry you also have to go through this pain!!If you ever wanna chat my blog is brigetterushworth.blogspot.com or email brigey66@hotmail.com
Wow, Natalie. You have a true gift! Wish you lived closer to K.C.!! My son hasn't had his pictures taken since he was 3 MONTHS OLD...he'll be 3 this July! I know, I'm bad. :) Great pictures! You have a terrific eye.

Love your work! Thanks for brightening my day. xo
I LOVE your photos. I am GLAD to see you are posting photos. I HOPE you are having a GOOD day.
....and She's back!
love these....wonderful color!
(you must shoot canon. i used to shoot jpeg with nikon & spent a lot of time toning down the red. i was resistant to go raw, but now i can't see going back. i'm not hardcore for/against either one - whatever works best for each person is good)
What a gorgeous cople of people. They look very happy. those pictures are beautiful and you're a great photog!!!
GORGEOUS!!!!!!!
I've never wanted to attend a workshop so bad! :)
These are gorgeous! Do you always shoot in jpeg? I still haven't jumped into RAW. And I'm actually afraid to.
Seriously Nat, you are Very Talented! Those are absolutely gorgeous. I LOVE the pic of them in front of the window that has the images of people on it. How fun to get to be so creative and have these fun little ideas come to you and then make it happen (such as the trolley too).
Your mind reading ability is amazing. As I scrolled through I was going to post a comment asking how you got such rich colors. Mine always seem to have a gray tone when shot in the shade (with natural light only).
I will continue to study and practice.
wow. wow. wow! Those are SOOOO gorgeous!
Nice Natalie! And thanks for the information. If we can get good shots from the get-go, it saves in editing work. Yes? =)
Beautiful! Great work, Natalie! And we LOVE Becky & Tyler, especially since they get to have Max as one of their sunbeams!
wow- the beautiful becky! way to go nat these are gorgeous!!
Natalie! I love these. We were so lucky to have you photograph us. I especially love the ones in front of the cardboard cut out people. I've never compared the benefits of Raw vs. Jpeg, I'll have to try it out.
these are AMAZING!! i wish i had photos of us that looked JUST like this! oh man. so precious. they'll love them forever. not to mention they looked so charming in them. (:
i love the watermark on the buys booty. pwah hahaha!
and many other thing too, of course.
WOAH!
Natalie - these are absolutely stunning! WONDERFUL images! It was soooo so nice to spend the day with you and I can't wait to hang out with you again soon :-) You are a Fabulous person and photographer!!!
Awesome images!
I love this couple/these images/colors and the love action and fun you've captured. Beautiful.
Thanks for posting this, Natalie. I'm a huge advocate of jpeg shooting and nailing exposures in-camera. Your work is absolutely beautiful! Also, I've been considering Mike's workshop...and now am TOTALLY convinced. Have a fabulous day!
Love the trolley shot! How fun, and the pictures look fantastic:)
Can you touch a bit more on manual white balance. This would need to be changed for varying lighting situations, do you do this with the Kelvin scale? And how do I not be intimidated by the scale?
these are my favorite pics i think ive seen you take! love them!
love cha cha
Natalie, these are just....oh, I have no words. I love them.
Natalie,
Just signed up for Mike's workshop in Atlanta. Words cannot express how excited I am. You can be expecting your "thank you" in May :)
these are some amazing shots!! i love the feel of them. i'm glad you were able to get out and do this...i bet it felt good.
I love your photos especially the one of the man taking the photograph. you put your name across his butt and it cheered me up, it made me laugh. You are trully inspirational!
Goodness! Your photography is amazing. I love your photos. Truly inspirational.
Is that Tyler Waldron? Oh my gosh, these are amazing and I am dying that Tyler looks so modelesque! He, he, he....fabulous work Natalie!
just wanted to add to your post processing faux pas but did not know where to: really, really white eyes.... unnatural, cheap and done but both the amatuer and pro. Terrible.
I would love to feature these on my blog! You are amazing!
