United Press International + 6 months ago today.

I was interviewed recently by United Press International.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with UPI, as I was,
UPI is one of the nation's leading media outlet organizations.

You can read the full article here.

A lot of you have expressed a desire to help create awareness
surrounding the need for adult pertussis vaccinations.

THANK YOU.

This article by UPI would be a great way to start.

If you feel so inclined,
please send this article on to friends and family
and even (and especially) local press associations.

You may also simply link people directly to this post if you prefer.

Let's end this together.

So no family ever has to have a 6 month anniversary
like the one our family is recognizing today.

I stalk your blog and have found your writing, your story and your pictures to be very inspiring. I got my vaccine right after I had my baby (Kaiser makes sure all new moms are up on their vaccines). Because of your blog, I forced my husband (against his will) to go get vaccinated last week. I hope that you and your family have the peace and comfort the gospel brings today and always.

Thinking of you all and praying for peace, especially today.
I have an appointment Thursday afternoon (actually today, my time) to have my pertussis booster.

You don't know me, but I realized I met you and Richie at EFY in Tacoma in 2002 (if that rings any bells). I found you blog through a friend.

I wanted to let you know I saw a full page ad in Real Simple magazine for the adult pertussis vaccine and I though of you. Your voice is reaching many and opening eyes. I keep a prayer in my heart for you and mothers like you.

God Bless,
Laura

Nat,
I stalk your blog thanks to a friend who linked me in. You are the reason that so many of us have become aware of this issue. We cry with you, too, at each milestone you must endure. I'm sorry that the issue has caused you so much pain, but the Lord has used your voice in a mighty and powerful way. My grandchildren's pediatrician has become very vocal on this issue and has hung signs all over his waiting room. Not another child should die as a result of something that can so simply be prevented. Thank you for your courage and your voice. I love you, girl.

I posted this link on my FB page. I am delivering in October and my husband and I will be getting our boosters. He before the birth and me right after. Thank you for all that you are doing to raise awareness of this awful disease.
