TIME OUT!!!

I'm taking a time-out. Sometimes I feel like I get so caught up in all the daily grind of rockin' with the kids, managing a home, running a business, hosting a blog etc that I don't get a chance to do some of the things that are really important to me. One of these things is STUDY. I never want to simply get in a groove and settle in there. I hope you all feel the same way about whatever your passions are. I hope you always feel the urge to stretch and grow and improve. Anyway, I'm going to be enjoying a scheduled hiatus for the next couple of weeks. . . the time I usually have set aside to work (ie when the kids are asleep or otherwise engaged in mania and mayham with their father) is going to become time set aside simply to study, brush up on and ENJOY my passion for photography . . . to work towards taking my work to the next level.

There's still a LOT that needs to get done. . . so all hail Leilani. Seriously this assistant thing is like a Natalie Norton Photography revolution of the best kind! I honestly couldn't do this if she weren't here to be awesome and make sure things still run the way they should. I still plan to blog. . . but I'm also totally into the idea of filling the next couple of weeks with guest posts. I'm up for: tips, tricks, pretty pictures, happy tales. . . whatever. If you're interested, please email me at natalienortonphoto{at}gmail{dot}com and we'll discuss our possibilities.

xoxoxoxoxoooooooooo!

GREAT idea, Nat! Way to go! I LOVE you! Do me a little favor, too...take some of the kids naptime, and just listen to the quiet...meditate...BREATHE DEEP...EXHALE! Sit back and listen to those tradewinds in the palms outside your window.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I have a blog design business and I'm not taking new orders now. I got a DSLR in March and I really want some time to get more comfortable with my camera, and using Photoshop for photo editing instead of mostly graphics, which is most of what I've done with it in the past.

I went to Photoshop World this month, and a one-day Photoshop Tour on Monday. Yay for self-education!

p.s. - Visiting from DPS.
