Gibson-Maero-Fetzer Family.

Follow closely: My mom dated S Maero, who was friends with my dad G Link. They broke up. . . this was in high school. Steve M and my dad had another friend K Gibson. Fast forward a ways: S Maero married C . . . they had two beautiful daughters L and A. They divorced, but set an example to divorced couples everywhere by remaining dear dear friends. C married D Fetzer. S Maero married J. J and S Maero had 2 beautiful daughters J and L Maero. Meanwhile K Gibson had a son, also named K Gibson. S Maero had a daughter, L Maero. They grew up. They got married! They had 3 beautiful grandchildren for all the aforementioned Maero-Fetzer-Gibson grandparents. Everyone got together recently in Hawaii, and I got to take their pictures at the back yard bbq. And I now proudly introduce the the Gibson-Maero-Fetzer family! They're a family full of perfect love, belly laughs and and a lot of good food! Love you guys!

Amply confused? Great! Enjoy!

Wow that was a confusing story. I guess the most convoluted families are the most beautiful though. Beautiful pictures of beautiful people!

I'm totally confused, but that's okay -- they're all beautiful and you did a great job "capturing" them!

Yay! I'm so thrilled to see such great pics of our fam. Even more amazed that you can follow our crazy story. Okay, that's a lie... I'm more enthused about the pics than the story. Confused? Great!

p.s. Thank you so much!

Natalie-
I found your work through the Digital Photography School Newsletter. I'm enjoying your photos. Everyone in your group/family shots look very relaxed and natural. What is the best way to get these results? Do you talk to your subjects about looking relaxed or do you give them some time to warm up to you? I have done a few engagement sessions and the couples felt odd about kissing each other, etc. for the camera. Any advice?

I love this family! I've always admired how well S&J and C&D all get along, and their daughters are all beautiful people. (I'm partial to A, but she is my best friend!)

Can't imagine why everyone had so much trouble--I followed the story perfectly . . . These shots are such a beautiful capture of a beautiful family. I especially like the one of Steve with all his girls. Every one of them has her own special beauty and you caught it brilliantly--inside and out! Great shoot.

Those are some very nice portraits. I like to see your work and get motivated to try some. Though I don't even get half close to your quality. It's amazing..
