color swatches and bla bla bla.

I'm such a delinquent blogger this week.

boo on me.

HOW IS IT WEDNESDAY ALREADY??

I'm working like a maniac with my radical designer
on the new branding.

I am starting to loathe my current blog . . .
and how about my NON EXISTENT branding?

bleh . . . so juvenile and amateur.

Can't.finish.this.project.soon.enough.

In the mean time did you see this?

10 Deadly Post Processing Sins

aaaaand I'm leaving for vegas (gag me) tomorrow.

I love your blog. I even love the look of it. It feels home-y. Blogs that are super professional freak me out. However, I'm sure you'll come up with something great.

Have fun in vegas.

I loved the post processing sins post. It made me laugh and gave me some good warnings. I am totally incompetent at Photoshop and have been trying to figure out if it's time to jump in or keep working on the craft of photography. I think I'll stick with working on my photography and add Photoshop later.

yay for branding! I'm working on that right now, but I just want to say that your simple blog layout has been encouraging to me. big pictures and fancy blog does not a photographer make. thank you.

i laughed and loved your '10 deadly post processing sins' because i feel the same way you do! new photographers go waaaay overboard with photoshop! it drives me bonkers! i love that quote you put from Zack Arias too. I always try to make sure i position the subject matter in a way i won't have to crop it or do any sort of adjustments later on. photoshop should be a last resort, or none at all.

oh natalie. you make me laugh. i love the sins. it's hilarious. (i tried reading them off to my parents. however, they didn't get it) but i do admit i am guilty of coloring the eyes recently but it was out of request for the client. and i'm a lucky duck. i got started with photoshop a few years before i went on to photography. YES! point for me. :]P

Thanks so much for the processing post...so funny, and also informative. I am a beginner, but I'm learning so much from your blogging and your articles! Personally, the photoshop software I bought scares me and I don't even want to get into it. Maybe now I won't! At least, not for awhile yet.

I did read your 10 Deadly Post Processing Sins. Thanks for the reminder that the natural, nearly SOOC shots are the ones that will last. Sometimes it's hard to remember that with all the post-processing, Photoshop craze that's out there these days. It was a nice read for an amateur like myself. I truly enjoy your blog. This is the first time I've commented. I discovered your blog about a month ago. My heart has gone out to you. Your blog is very inspiring. Keep doing what you do. You are both creative in words and photography. God Bless.

Loved the sins post. Even just starting out, I see how easy it would be to drift into using post processing as a crutch. As for your branding, I think your blog is perfectly you for now, and the new one will be perfectly you for later! Have a great day!

I finally got up the nerve to try post processing, and edited a few pics from my cousin's wedding. THEN I read the deadliest sins. DOH! Looks like I'm going to photohell. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tlcbull/sets/72157623490810410/
Oh well. I promise to repent and go straight!

Love the post processing post! I definitely needed to read that one as a beginner. It really took some weight off my shoulders! God Bless you!

Loved your article on Post Processing Sins. I am in repentance mode. Love your photographs and the smarts you bring to it all. You have a lovely eye on the world. Have lunch in Vegas at Mon Ami (across from the Bellagio) at The Paris and you will forget where you are.

I love the article on post processing - the word clouds were hilarious. Branding hey - can wait to see what you come up with.

so glad I read your deadly sins post! I have been thinking those things, but sometimes feel like I am alone in these thoughts! I want to shout them from the roof tops... The crazy fake eyes, the selective coloring, the texture! the WHOLE THING! it's already DATED to me, think of what it will be in 5, or 10 years!!!
Thanks Natalie!
