Coconut Monkey.

Um, Richie is going to KILL ME
for posting this.

kill.me.dead.

But I just have to tell you.

Sometimes, Lincoln (3) . . .

well sometimes,
he refers to his little private part. . .
as his

COCONUT MONKEY.

???

True story.

and then,
well then hilarity ensues.

like tonight. . .
at the DINNER TABLE.

sheesh.

I just love the names kids (my boys) invent. When you ask them why or how they come up with such things the hilarity continues! LOL

Natalie - it's those cute things that kids do that keep us going...right?? seriously, the cutest name EVER! my husband is going to love it when I tell him!

I have 3 boys, and so far none of them has come up with a special name for "it" yet... :) Little Lincoln is a creative spirit, I can tell!

Haha! One time my 3 year old ran up to a little old Japanese lady standing outside the Moanaloa Terrace McDonald's and said LOUDLY, "I AM A BOY BECAUSE I HAVE A PENIS." She ignored him. I about died.
Boys! Keep your life interesting!

I know a big boy that referred to it as "chickie". As is little duck.

Lincoln, Lincoln. All I can say is, BOYS! Just another reason I think it's so fun that I have little "Hawaiian grandsons"! I don't think he'd call it that if he lived in Utah...or even California. Lincoln's one of kind! MWAAA!

Natalie, You don't know me. But I also lost my sweet son Gavin. I am so sorry for you loss. The hurt is so indescribable, as is the comfort that comes. There is a private blog for mother's who have lost living children. If you are interested in that kind of support. I know right now is crazy, but when you are ready and if you want, go to my blog. thelarsenfiles.blogspot.com and leave me your email in the comment. (I won't post it so no one will be able to view your email) and I'll send you the email to the blog. Sending you all my love!!

My son (also 3) had been heard to say "daddy you have big nuts, I have little nuts" and yes, he was referring to his own coconut monkey :) you can't help but love 'em and laugh

My son has no special name, however my 5 year old daughter has changed the name of her parts a few times. Currently - the backend is Lola, and I couldn't help it, so I convinced her to call the front "charlie". So, during bath I get to say "Did you wash Charlie and Lola?" We end up giggling hysterically - (it used to be "jewerly", so I am glad of the name change)

My husband and 6 year old son traipsed thru the living room to the second bathroom one night to get a towel. And I screamed something like "What are you doing? You are naked!" And my 6 year old told my husband later that that was okay because "They were men."

Today-
Asi:"That's stupid."
Me: "That's not a nice word. Hmmm.. Let's think of something else we can say instead of that..."
Link: "COCONUT MONKEY!"

Hahahahahaha

Kristen! you know what is hilarious??! "coconut monkey" comes from a time when the boys said wiener and the medical term ALL the time to each other, at each other, in reference to one another! I told them that every time they wanted to say one of those words, they should say coconut monkey instead. . . to help them get the naughty word out of their heads. So lincoln misinterpreted this as meaning that he should REPLACE those words with that phrase and the phrase actually took on that meaning to him ... not my intention.

Funny to see that he apparently thought that "stupid" qualified and used "coconut monkey" as it was originally intended. Does that make an pinch of sense?? :)
