Juggling.

Dear Friends,

Sorry I've been a delinquent blogger this last week.

Just take the picture above, and imagine . . .

she also has a laptop under her arm,

. . .

and a box full of helpless kittens under the other arm,

. . .

and a tiny bottle (to feed said kittens every 2 hours) propped between her teeth,

. . .

and a huge tattoo on her forehead that reads: "I HATE CATS,"

. . .

and a kid hanging on her right leg,

. . .

and a kid hanging on to her left leg,

. . .

and a kid sitting on her shoulders,

. . .

and yet ANOTHER kid warming in her oven,

. . .

and a cell phone perched between her shoulder and her ear,

. . .

and a check book and 4 million bills in her back pocket,

. . .

and a wooden spoon in her front pocket,

. . .

and a nervous breakdown simmering on the back burner.

once you've imagined all that,
you'll BEGIN to get a sense as to where I've been. :)

I love you.

Nat

Oh my gosh -- I'm feeling a nervous breakdown coming on just reading that, Nat!!! Come to mommy-in-law -- I'll take care of you this weekend. I wish you were staying longer! Pinkberry's on the calendar. On me. A large.

With each line my shoulders tensed a little more
and raised a little closer to my ears.
I hope things slow down for ya soon...

Oh Natty Gann. All this, and you're even handling the sadness of losing one of those little kitties! You are a rock. I'm so glad you at least took a little break from blogging. Not one of your readers will desert you over the lag--how could they??

I wish I could be there to help. (I'm really good at nervous breakdowns.)

The minute I read this I thought of the painting: The Burden of the Responsible Man by James Christensen. It is beautiful and funny. I sent you the image in your email. Good luck with everything.

I like the part about the baby in your oven. I so would have adopted those little kittens too. There is this part of me that loves kittens more than humans. It's kinda sick but I just love them. Let me know if you need any help

Hi! We do not know each other. I did a google search for help with learning photography and ended up on your site! You are sooo funny and simply amazing! I have NEVER commented on a stranger's blog... but I felt inclined to here. :) I was very touched by your journaling and photography. I don't know exactly what it is I want to say here... but somehow I felt understanding. This is crazy! Sorry! Thank you for posting the photography lessons. It is a great help to me. I am just learning and enjoy it very much! Thanks for posting pieces of yourself for weirdo strangers like me to enjoy and be enriched by! :) LOL! Love it! ~Michelle from Utah
