Acree Family: Turtle Bay Hawaii Portrait Session.

The Acree family was so much fun to photograph. It was a VERY windy day. I only remember shooting on one other day that was as windy, ever. (Remember these shoots, shoot 1, shoot 2?) They were troopers out there in the wind and cold. :) Thanks guys for choosing me to photograph your awesome family! You're great! Enjoy.

Awesome family! Great shots. The crab one is SOOOO cool! I think I'd want that one huge on my wall.

Great shots as always but you need to post your photos to Flickr so I can peek at your EXIF data and see how you had your camera settings. ;-)

C'mon, I need to learn from pros like you!

I'm so glad to have found your blog. You have wonderful talent!
We lived in Kailua, Oahu for 11 year and *loved* our trips to the country (:
Now we live in NC close to family, which is always nice when you have children.
Thank you for sharing your pics and your knowledge!

Hi Natalie,

These photos are so beautiful, I love the fifth photo from the top. I'd love to know your recipe for this photos.....

Linda,

I'm glad you like them. The 5th image from the top, the one you mentioned, was shot with a very low aperture (1.4). And that's the recipe. . . add salt to taste. :)

xo.
