I have a question. I am a photographer trying to grow my business. I follow lots of other photographers on the web to gain ideas and such. I love b&w and I like to tone the color down with a brown tint. I always show these as options to my clients. But in the end, they always picked color. Why? Maybe, only being in business for a few months, I haven't met enough. Just curious. Thanks.

Reflections by the Hill,

I have not necessarily found that to be the case. In fact, if I were forced to say what my clients ordered most often, I'd have to say it's the black and white images. . . or. . . black and brownish as the case may be :). A suggestion I'd make though would be this: if there is an image that you really want presented in b and w. . . only offer it in that way. Clients will GENERALLY not ask for what they haven't seen. . .

I hope that's helpful.

Aloha,

Natalie

they all have such gorgeous eyes!

looks like a fun family. i love the last photo of the series with Mom and Dad and the shallow dof on the kids...it makes me feel that the focus and the foundation of the relationship between Mom and Dad is solid and strong! As well it should be and that the kids haven't taken over their lives - but are a much joyous addition to an already beautiful union.

thanks for sharing Natalie!
