Oh, thank God that your boy is okay, pennies do tend to all come out in the end (pun intended). I am also so, so sad to hear about your youngest, that's got to be the most difficult thing a parent ever has to go through. I'm so sorry for your loss. Gavin is in God's arms sleeping peacefully and without illness. And he is happily watching over your family everyday. God Bless you all on this Easter Sunday!

the other year my 11 yr old brother (at the time he was 8) swallowed 7 quarters because my other brother dared him to... go figure. My parents had taken me to the dentist and got the call from one of our neighbors saying the ambulance was taking him to the hospital. long story short, i remember my mom being soooo scared because she wasn't there and wasn't 100% sure what was going on. My brother ended up being okay he threw up 5 quarters and pooped out the other 2. My mom MADE sure that my brothers NEVER dared each other to do stupid things EVER again.

I had a “penny experience” with my little girl, Jenna. She was 6 weeks when her 2.5 yr old brother put a penny in her mouth and "told her not to swallow it." I was prompted to check on her in time...though her lips were already blue and it was lodged too deep to touch. I am truly blessed. So glad your little Lincoln is OK!

Dallin swollowed a penny too.....when he was much younger....it got stuck in his esophagus. It had been in there a few days when he started wheezing....I thought he was getting sick so I took him him, but he didn't wheeze unless he was crying so I pinched him and made him cry so the doc could hear it....then the x-ray came. Then to children's hospital to put him under and they had to use a probe to get it out. I'm just tell you this so that you keep watching him to make sure he poops it out....sometimes they get stuck....although Dallin was younger and tinier then. Good luck.

I'm so glad Lincoln is ok! When i was a kid, I swallowed one of those huge plastic rings that you got out of bubble gum machines, took 1/2 bottle of baby aspirin (the orange flavored ones) and at an entire box of x-lax! All at different ages I should say, but kind of makes me wonder about myself back then! After I ate the x-lax, my mother locked me in a room, called the Dr., and I had to sit on the pot and drink hot water with salt. So not cool!

Happy Friday the 13th! My 18-month-old swallowed a whole bottle of air soft gun pellets a few days ago. (This is what happens when Dad babysits.) This morning, about thirty orange pellets rolled out of his diaper when I opened it up to change him. Of course...I would rather have a few dozen small orange balls come out in Jack's poop rather than have to search his diapers for a penny. (Or take a trip to the ER.) I think you win this one.
